Our lab warmly welcomes Dr. Hamed H. Adhdam as a AI lead Postdoctoral Fellow. Dr. Adhdam joined our lab from Sept. 1st, 2020, who will lead our AI projects for developing deep learning-based computer vision systems in object detection, shape representation and instance segmentation using mobile mapping systems and airborne / satellite payloads.

Dr. Aghdam has been working as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Ottawa under the supervision of Dr. Robert Laganiere and at the Technical University of Graz under the supervision of Dr. Horst Bischof. During his research period at the Technical University of Graz, he has worked at Siemens in Austria as AI researcher and developer. Dr. Aghdam graduated from the University Rovira i Virgili in Spain with his doctoral thesis (cum laude) on the understanding road scenes using deep neural networks in 2018. Dr. Aghdam will bring his extensive knowledge and experiences in computer vision and machine learning to our lab. We are very excited to work closely with Dr. Adgdam – Welcome, Dr. Adhdam to our lab!
