Our lab member, Dr. Seungho Yang, will start his new career as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Urban Engineering in the Hanbat National University, South Korea, effectively starting on March 1st, 2021. Dr. Yang joined our lab in June 2018 and has been leading interdisciplinary research projects on pedestrian mobility for increasing safety, comfort, accessibility and health through video data analytics and simulations. He has been leading the design of the pedestrian digital twin platform which enables simulating pedestrian mobility and its interaction with infrastructure by combining geographical information system with virtual simulation. This project has been supported by the ISSUM (Intelligent Systems for Sustainable Urban Mobility) in collaboration with Esri Canada. Seungho will continue to be involved in this project as a collaborator. Dr. Yang’s research project has been co-supervised by Professor Peter Park at the Department of Civil Engineering at York University. Segho will remain as our lab’s alumni. We wish all the best with Seungho’s future in academia. Congratulations, Sengho on your achievements!
