Dr. Sohn received the York Research Leaders Award 2019 from the President’s Office and the Office of the Vice-President Research & Innovation (VPRI) for his outstanding research achievement in 2019. Dr. Sohn is the two-time winner of this award and he received the same award in 2015. In 2019, Dr. Sohn and his lab successfully initiated large-scale research projects on the Autonomous Tran (OnTRAC) and AI with Mobile Mapping System (3DMMAI). His research achievement was also recognized by the Lassonde School of Engineering at the Faculty Council Meeting.
